Not all, but all juice pouches from our company are certainly safe. Our pouches provide a multiple layer barrier to protect the juice against a series of environmental factors – moisture, oxidation, dirt, and others. The packages are sealed after juice has been filled into them. Their spouts function as a hygienic method to pour out the juice.
The multilayer barrier of a typical plastic pouch used in liquid packaging consists of five layers: oxide layer, polymer, second oxide layer, second polymer layer, and substrate. Contact with the oxygen in the environment initiates chemical reactions whose end result turns out to be a different colored liquid which is stale and not fit for consumption. Oxide layers in a juice pouch prevent this from happening. The role of the polymer layers is mostly limited to providing strength to the whole package. This strength safeguards against minor physical blows and transportation and storage tears.
Spouts are accessories that are fixed to juice pouches. Consumers pour out liquid through these spouts. Well designed pouches serve as an effective guard against environmental impurities because of their snug seals.
StandUpPouches.net's juice pouches are made from FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved barrier films. They use food grade materials which are containment free.
