Yes, standup bags come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and styles. There is a wide range of stand up pouches available in the market for an even wider range of products which includes fruit juice, coffee, soup mixes, candies, and beverage etc. Using barrier packaging, foil lamination and custom print, stand up bags are not only tempting for the customers but are also functionally superior to their competitors. These pouches are available with different accessories depending on the type of content. They are available with release valves, zip locks, and even pour spouts.
Stand up pouches have provided a new life to the packaging industry by leaving behind old age methods of bag-in-a-box packaging. They have provided an opportunity to retailers and manufacturers to optimize their packaging by maximizing shelf space, reducing packaging costs, and tempting consumers.

There are fundamentally three types of stand up bags which can be ordered depending on the content to be packaged. The three variants are:

Round bottom gusset type
This type of stand up bag is one of the most common bags available in the market. A round bottom gusset pouch stands effectively on the store shelf with the support of the material’s welded edge which keeps the bag in its position. It is available in different standard sizes so you can choose the right one according to your requirements.

K seal Bottom type
As the size of the bag increases, it becomes more and more difficult for the sealed edge of the bag to support the weight of the contents. After a certain size, the K seal bottom is used to support the weight of the product to make sure that the bag stands upright on the shelf because if it topples, it will not sell.

Plow Bottom Type
This is a creative stand up pouch design which has grown in popularity in the food packaging industry. It is also a favorite for companies that produce granular products such as salt and sugar etc. In this type of packaging, the contents of the bag sit directly on the shelf. Plow Bottom stand up bags resemble the pouches made on automated fill and seal machines which is perhaps another reason for their hike in their popularity.

Apart from these three fundamental types, there are other variants with minor changes here and there. You can choose and order the type that suits your requirements the most and benefit from the smart packaging solution.
