Stand Up Pouches for Product Packaging

Cereal Packaging Sees Huge Improvements

If you’re one of those folks who eat cereal for breakfast, you’re no doubt familiar with cereal boxes.  Yeah – who came up with those?  Maybe it worked for a while, but the clumsy combination of bag and clunky cardboard box is getting old, fast.  It’s no good having to wrestle with that inner lining and close the box flaps, which are prone to tear off the moment a child gets a hold of them.  And who wants to pour a portion of muesli into their bowl and add milk, only to find the nuts and grains have gone rancid?  Luckily, there’s a range of new options for cereal packaging.

People are extremely aware of their health these days.  They know about whole proteins, carbohydrate and protein mixtures, and optimal balancing of nutrients.  So, of course, they know that stale food holds very little in the way of nutrition.  There’s no excuse for expecting them to put up with dry food packaging that leads to rotten ingredients.  It’s surprising that no one solved this problem decades ago.

Stand up pouches solve the problem of storage, convenience and freshness all in one go.  They’re attractive and sturdy.  They keep the goodness of the food inside, while blocking moisture from the outside.  Cereal eaters love them because they are re-sealable and lightweight.  The next time you talk to someone who breakfasts on granola, ask what option they choose from the shelves.  Chances are, it’s the new style.
