Cereal Packaging Using Stand Up Pouches

Cereal packaging using stand up pouchesWant a reason why cereal packaging using stand up pouches is a great idea?  Sanity.  No, really.  If a person lives with anyone else, this packaging can help maintain domestic tranquility!  Live with roommates, a significant other or children (especially children!)? Also known as stand bags or stand up bags, this flexible packaging is quickly being embraced by cereal manufacturers for a new way to package their products.

What is more frustrating than reaching in the cupboard for that box of cereal and, upon picking it up, having that sinking feeling that it seems very very light?  Open the box and suspicions are confirmed:  Someone ate the last of the cereal, put the box back and went merrily on his or her way.   There must be cereal in that box because, well, the box is still in the cupboard!  This would never have happened if the household had cereal packaging using stand up pouches with a clear window.

Stand bags for cereal packaging are made from multiple layers of barrier film laminated together that creates the strength for the pouch to stand effectively on a store shelf while providing generous room on the front and back for an applied label or better yet, custom printing.  Stand up pouches are available from stock in several sizes and color combinations or custom made with bold, dynamic Rotogravure printing.  While my example above is more of a pet peeve (mine), in coming posts I will explain how using stand up pouches to package cereal can:

*  Build Your Brand
*  Protect Your Product
*  Lower Your Cost
*  Increase Your Sales

The phrase "stand up" has come to be used in many positive ways: "Stand up guy";  "Stand up for your rights";  "Stand up to bullies."  Well, cereal packaging using stand up pouches is every bit as positive.  Helping keep the peace at home certainly for the end user but really an innovative way for a manufacturer to get their cereal on a store shelf and compete like never before!
