Cheap Packaging and Stand Up Bags

There's cheap packaging and then there's cheap packaging. The former relates to packaging that is effective, convenient and environmentally friendly yet inexpensive while the latter is simply, well, cheap. As in cheaply constructed of cheap materials (even though it may still be expensive to you). Needless to say, cutting costs by using cheaply made packaging is probably not the best way to lower your overhead, especially since the quality and convenience of product packaging play a significant role in establishing customer satisfaction.

Stand up pouches are an excellent example of inexpensive packaging of high quality. Made from multiple layers of scientifically-formulated film that are bonded together via a special lamination process, these pouches protect contents from vapor, moisture, odor, air, light and/or pests as needed based on the particular product. Food and other perishable items benefit from the pouch's barrier qualities that seal in (again, depending on the contents) freshness, flavor, nutrition and/or chemical potency.

For liquid products, a pour spout/resealable cap combination that extends shelf life and prevents spills and leaks is available. For all other product contents, optional tear notches make the pouches easy to open and zip lock closures permit repeated opening and resealing, thereby extending the shelf life of products that have an expiry date.

Unlike most cheap packaging, stand up pouches are stable and sturdy and are, therefore, able to stand up on the floor or shelf. This permits convenient storage in the garage, closet, kitchen cupboard, RV pantry or even the refrigerator/freezer.
