According to a 2010 National Coffee Association survey, 54 % of American adults drank coffee daily in 2009, generating annual sales of over $18 billion.  The survey also found that 83% of consumers who had coffee the prior day had brewed it at home.  This latter statistic is believed to be in keeping with a general trend among consumers towards a more 'green' and sustainable lifestyle.  Needless to say, all of this means that tons and tons of coffee are sold.  And millions upon millions of packages are needed to sell it.

Stand up bags are perhaps the best and most versatile form of coffee packaging.  Also known as stand up pouches or custom printed Mylar bags, stand up bags keeps out moisture, odor, vapor, and light while keeping in freshness and that aroma coffee lovers just can't start the day without.  Available with zip lock closures, stand up pouches do away with that annoying twist-tie fastener on steroids that comes with most coffee packaging which is somehow supposed to preserve freshness of the coffee.

Coffee packaging with stand up bags presents several marketing options.  Labels can be affixed to the wide front and back panels.  Even better, the bags can be custom printed in up to 10 colors.  Either way, the bags look great on the store shelf and on the kitchen counter in the home.

Stable enough to stand up on it's own, the product will stand out from the competition.  And with available hang holes, coffee can also be marketed via a hanging display.

Finally, these pouches take up very little space in a landfill.  Better yet, stand up bags are recyclable, generating obvious appeal to the increasing number of consumers who base their buying decisions, at least in part, on the 'green' policies of the producer.

All of which make stand up pouches terrific coffee packaging, certain to brew up greater sales.  Want to learn more?
