Coffee pouches are used by many students in hostels, and executives on travel assignments. They are also used by companies to package their samples. These are useful only if they have the following qualities:
- They should preferably be made using barrier packaging. This prevents entry of harmful UV rays.
- They should not be affected by rough handling. The oxygen in the packet should be replaced by nitrogen or some other suitable gas. This helps prevent the spoiling of coffee beans.
- Spouted pouches cannot be used for coffee. However, using zippers is a great choice. They make coffee handling really easy. A customer can just zip the pack after he has used it once. This ensures longer shelf life of the product.
- The packets should be cheap to manufacture. Your customers would not be willing to pay a hefty amount for your product just because of expensive packaging.
- It must retain the rich aroma of the coffee beans.
- Coffee packaging can also be done using clear bags. This offers the customer a view of the beans inside the bag. It highlights the quality of the coffee beans.
The design of the packet is of great importance too. Customers tend to choose products that have a well designed packet.
