Cool Product Packaging Such As Stand Up Pouches

If you were to ask the average consumer what impacts retail success, most would probably give either quality or price as their answer. While not necessarily wrong, neither answer identifies a more fundamental prerequisite for retail product success: Brand identification. If consumers don't know about your products, you essentially don't exist. Success demands a distinctive market presence and packaging is one way to attain that. Stand up pouches are an example of the type of cool product packaging that will help distinguish your products in stores and convert consumers into loyal customers.

Stand up pouches consist of multiple layers of scientifically-formulated and, if necessary, food-grade film which have been laminated together to create an effective barrier bag. Also known as Mylar® pouches and stand up bags, stand up pouches guard against vapor, odor, moisture, air, light, and/or pests, depending content properties. These pouches help preserve the shelf life of food and other products with an expiry date by sealing in freshness, flavor, and/or nutritional or chemical properties, also as the case may be.

Of course, all packaging protects contents. However, not all packaging options constitute cool product packaging. There are several additional specific features that distinguish stand up pouches from the rest. Because they stand up, these pouches stand apart from most traditional types of packaging on a store shelf. Round and sombrero-shaped hang holes provide extra product display choices to grocers, auto supply stores, pet shops, and other retailers.

Further product display choices also result from the design of stand up pouches, another factor that makes them such cool product packaging. The stable base and wide front and back panels make it possible for you to affix product labels and/or other stickers, order application of custom printing in up to 10 colors and/or request the use of clear or translucent film as pouch barrier construction material.

Another reason stand up pouches are considered cool product packaging is because they're eco-friendly. Granted, they consist of multiple film layers, but they require up to 12 percent less material than other packaging bags. And they're recyclable.
