Different Styles of Stand Up Bags

Stand up bags can be divided into four main types:

Round Bottom Gusset
This style makes use of the edge of a gusset. It is welded along the sides of supporting walls. This gives the package the extra support and strength that it needs. They are the most common stand up bags and are used for various food and beverage packaging.

K Seal Bottom Gusset
K-Seal bottom gusset stand up bags are highly useful for packages which are heavier. The seals on each of the sides rise at a thirty degree angle from the bag. It eases out the weight pressure on both the sides of the package. These are used for storing meat etc.

Plow Bottom Gusset
It is manufactured from a single piece of film. This means that there is no seal present at the gusset. Food pouch manufacturers prefer this package for sugar or salt packaging.

Flat Barrier Bag
Flat barrier bags are not exactly stand up pouches. But they are also very helpful. They are quite similar to a foil pouch. A flat barrier bag is made using the barrier packaging technique. This is why it is trusted so much. But they cannot be placed on shelves like other pouches can be.

Based on your requirements, you can select the right pouch for your product.
