Stand Up Pouches for Product Packaging

Do Your Liquid Stand Up Pouch Bags Need a Spout?

Due to the convenience they bring to your customers, liquids such as gravies, wine, juice, baby food, and alcohol mixes to name a few, are great for storing and distributing in stand up pouch bags. But there are a few different ways to package these products, and you’ll need to decide whether you want your product to have a spout, or if you want to leave it out of the design. So how do you choose?

The spouts we provide for our stand up packaging have a cap, tear off, and are tamper resistant. All of this helps to keep your product safer and fresher and at its best by the time it reaches your customer. But not all liquids and not all food pouches packaging need a spout. In fact, in some cases, it’s best not to have them.

This is the case mainly when it comes to single-serve portions. Instead of a spout, these simply have a neck similar to a bottle, and a tear-away section at the top. The product can then be emptied into a bowl or cup, or even taken right from the packaging.

To explain further, we’ve created this YouTube video that allows you to check out different spouts, as well as examples of work we’ve done in the past. Check out the video, and then contact us for more information about how we can help you package your product properly.
