o Kraft paper is only one of the different layers of our stock stand up pouches. The total thickness of the stand up bags is 6.1 mils and includes not just the kraft paper but 2 other layers, one to create a see-thru window and the innermost layer for sealing.

o Stock stand up pouches take up a fraction of the room that other comparable packaging does. With 500-1000 stock stand up pouches in a carton, these store flat, ship flat, and are easy to inventory

7. Clear Window

o Clarity of the windows matters on stock stand up pouches. Many companies will use a very thin structure for the window which can be punctured very easily and fog when temperatures change. Choose only a window that is not a patch over a hole in the kraft paper but an entire layer. This will assure that you get the best barrier properties and your window will remain sealed to the paper.

8. Inner-most layer for seal integrity

o Stock stand up pouches require the inner most layer to be made from polyethylene so it can be heat sealed. This is another layer that many companies will try to “cut corners” to save a few pennies per pouch. Don’t settle. The inner most layer should be at least 100 microns thick.

9. Food Grade plastic

o Food grade plastic is critical. Your product will come in contact with this plastic layer and only this particular layer. Demand to see certifications that your factory is only using FDA food grade plastic for their stock stand up pouches.
