Film Proof versus Actual Colors

The purpose of this post is to clear the confusion that stems from the difference between film proof we show you and actual colors on your packaging. This post is particularly useful to businesses who are trying custom printed pouch bags for the first time. We hope that after reading this, you will be able to make a more informed decision.

Our printing process is divided into four parts:

(a) Electronic proofs
(b) Printing cylinders
(c) Film proofs
(d) Explanation of film proofs and printing

The details for it of these parts can be found on our website. In this post we will limit ourselves to parts (c) and (d).

When we produce film proofs, we try our best to match colors to your specification or the samples that you have sent us. We try to be as close to the colors as possible. Once we have completed the process, we mail you an electronic copy of the proof and wait for your response. Based on your suggestions, we make changes in the proof and mail you an electronic proof once again. Theoretically this process is never-ending. In practice, we successfully match colors to your content in our first or second attempt.

We start with the printing process. At this stage, the colors in the artwork undergo a little change because of lamination and the process of manufacturing. This results in an artwork that is slightly different from the film proof. The difference is not huge. And we promise you that our flexible pouches will not embarrass you. Here is a video that explains this in detail. Please watch the video and visit our website to learn more about this creative food packaging.
