Stand Up Pouches for Product Packaging

How Do You Seal A Stand Up Pouch?

When we seal our stand up pouch bags, there are three important factors that play a role: heat, timing and speed.

When we put the stand up pouch in the sealer, the heat melts one side of the mouth of the pouch and it combines with the other side. Thus the sides are joined and the bag is sealed. But the process is not very simple. Timing is an important factor in the heat sealing process. If you apply the heat for too long, both sides can melt and the bag would be useless. Too little heat would not seal the bag properly. So it’s important to apply the right temperature for the right time.

The final factor would be speed. How fast do you want your flexible pouches to be sealed? If time is not an important consideration, you can use a basic hand sealer. If you want things to be a bit faster, you can use a semi automated machine with a foot pedal. Then come the automatic heat sealers.

If you don’t want to have sealing machines in your facility, you can always work with a contract packager. This will make things much easier for you. Whether you are a startup business or an established company, we can fulfill your packaging needs. Contact us to learn more.
