Stand Up Pouches for Product Packaging

How Long Are Our Lead Times? What is the Safety Stock?

The purpose of this post is to clear confusion regarding the length of lead times and safety stock. We will cover both topics, one at a time.

(a) Lead times

Typical lead time for new orders is eight weeks. For re-orders, it comes down to between six and seven weeks. After receiving an order from you, we send your artwork to our graphics department. The experts there suggest a few changes. We send a sample to you. After receiving your reply, we send your artwork to the department once again. If they have an issue, we contact you again. This process takes time and can lead to a delay from the client’s side because their clock started ticking the moment they contacted us.

To avoid this from happening, we have improved on our response time. If there is a problem with the artwork, we contact you and keep you updated. We have also changed the way we ship your product. All our pouches are now shipped straight to our Ohio warehouse. Then we ship your creative food packaging to you. This process is faster.

(b) Safety stock

This is something new. When we run your order, we create 1,000 extra custom printed flexible pouches. We do not charge you for these additional pouches. These pouches stay in our warehouse. When you re-order, we can ship these packages to you within days and start working on your new order. This makes our process lightening fast. At the same time, you get the latest packaging for tea, coffee, pet food, and other products.

We hope this clears things up. If you still have doubts, feel free to contact us.
