Is It Safe to Carry Baby Food Pouches During Air Travel?

stand up pouch packagingIn the past, there were issues related to carrying baby food pouches on airplanes because there was a possibility that they might explode. Nowadays, pouches are so designed that they stay intact in spite of high air pressure generated during a flight. But this does not ensure that your baby food pouches will be able to withstand the rough handling that checked-in baggage is often subjected to. So it’s always better to keep them within zip-lock bags, so that if they break or tear for any reason, you won’t get into a messy situation.

The use of stand up pouch packaging for food products is a relatively new concept. Jars, bottles, and other traditional feeding methods are slowly being replaced. Because of the reasonable prices and convenience offered, parents prefer stand up pouches for baby food items.  There are various other advantages as well. These pouches are easy to store and carry. They don’t require washing since they’re use-and-throw. Most of these packets contain a single serving ideal for babies and there’s less wastage. Babies love this feeding method and it’s less messy than the traditional bowl-and-spoon approach.

There’s a huge variety of baby food products that can be packaged in these flexible pouches. They can be used for tasty treats and healthy delights. Parents can choose from various kinds of beverages and fruit and vegetable purees. They get nutritious feeding options without the hassle of actually concocting them at home. Baby food pouches are easily available in almost all major destinations across the globe.
