For bakers at work or moms at home, flour is an important kitchen item. Children love eating home baked muffins, and it is thus important for the packed flour to retain its nutritional value. For this, few tweaks are made in the flour packaging techniques over the years.

Many companies now use barrier bags to pack flour. This ensures that dirt, moisture, air or other elements do not harm the product. If flour goes rancid, customers will not buy it, and it will result in total loss. Barrier bags are strong so pests cannot easily reach the product. Flour can perish very easily if not stored properly.

One important factor for selecting the right stand up bags is storage. Flour pouches or bags can be provided with small holes at the top or bottom.  These holes help in hanging the bags in kitchens. This reduces the space requirement for storage.

Another important feature that can be added to a flour bag is a zipper. Zipper bags increase the life period of the product. Small quantities of flour can be taken out whenever needed, and then the bag can be sealed again. Plus, a zipper bag can be reused for other purposes as well.
