Packaging Design for Food with Stand Up Bags

Stand up pouches are made by laminating together multiple layers of special film to produce a barrier bag that protects contents and possesses other features as well. Available with zip lock closures, stand up pouches safeguard your food products from moisture, vapor, odor, pests and, if necessary, light and/or air while they prolong your brand's shelf life by sealing in freshness, flavor and nutritional content. They stand up on the cupboard, pantry or refrigerator/freezer shelf, saving space in the process. And optional tear notches permit easy and mess-free opening.

The manufacturing process for stand up pouches is more environmentally responsible than that used for most other packaging. Although made of multiple layers, each pouch requires less material to make than most other plastic packaging bags (up to 12 percent less), resulting in less weight (and, therefore, requiring less fuel to transport) and also ultimately generating less waste. And most stand up pouches are recyclable.

Stand up pouches integrate marketing features as well. They stand up on the store shelf and stand apart from the competition. Optional round/sombrero-style hang holes provide grocers and retailers a second display option. Each pouch has wide front and back panels, perfect for your company labels, custom printing (in up to 10 colors), or some combination of both.
