A new revolution is taking place in the world of liquid packaging. Where bulky, expensive and hard-to-dispose-of plastic containers, plastic bottles, rigid containers, and glass bottles were the norm a few years ago, spout pouches are fast making inroads into this territory, which consists of various kinds of drink packaging.
Spouted pouches are less costly to manufacture than older means of packaging, they are easier to carry and discard after use, and they are more environment friendly. A reason for their being green is that it takes fewer resources to produce them. They are also environment friendly because they demand less space in a landfill or your garbage can than typical glass bottles.
The design of these pouches is such that they are more advertisement friendly. A typical spout pouch offers at least two printable surfaces. Despite a large printable real estate, it occupies less space on a store shelf.
A typical pouch is sealed after it has been filled. This makes the task of filling these pouches easier. Unlike glass bottles, there is almost no transportation breakage. These packages are less costly to transport. Nearly 700,000 of these pouches can be cramped into a typical truck. This is seven times more than the figure of 100,000 bottles that can be carried in a truck.
