Let’s look at the packaging your using now, which is probably a windowed stand up pouch, that uses a very thin plastic liner to show off the product inside the pouch. This is simply glued to the inside of the pouch and doesn't provide any barrier strength. If the window is poked, even lightly, it will break and the product will become stale.

Had the product used a custom-printed Stand Up Pouch, it would have been protected by a protective barrier layer, helping it stay fresher for longer.

The product needed to look natural and old fashioned. Had it used one of our stand up pouches, we would have recommended a matte finish rather than the paper material. The package won't look shiny or glossy and will give off a more vintage look.
