Bag and pouch packaging has become all the rage. A stand up bag is the product of a process by which multiple layers of scientifically formulated film are laminated together to create a barrier bag that protects contents, as needed, from vapor, odor, moisture, light, pests, pets and air. A stand up pouch also offers options that preserve freshness and extend product shelf life for both dry and liquid products with a "best buy" date. For dry food or other perishable items, zip lock closures are available; for liquids, optional pour spouts and resealable caps will do the trick.
A stand up bag offers several convenience features in addition to the zip lock closure and pour spout options. Gas release valves can be ordered. Available tear notches permit easy opening without fear of creating the mess that often occurs when pulling too hard on the sides of a bag or pouch. And, because a stand up bag does indeed stand up on the shelf, it stores conveniently, saving space in the garage, closet, kitchen or refrigerator.
Convenience is also the hallmark of stand up bags when it comes to store product placement. As mentioned, a stand up bag stands up on the shelf, thereby permitting your brand to stand apart from the competition. When appropriate, optional round or sombrero-style hang holes can also be used.
