The food and beverage packaging market has been going through an evolution from the past few years. New packaging techniques that are easier to manage and handle have become popular amongst the manufacturers as well as the consumers. The latest addition to this packaging revolution is the flat bottom side gusset bag. There are many advantages of using this bag, and some of them are given here.

  1. Most packaging techniques currently available in the market are ideal for low weight or less volume products. The new flat bottom side gusset bag is made for holding bulky and heavy products. This new packaging is made of metalized foil PET, which makes it resistant enough to prevent any tears or scratches.
  2. This new style of barrier bags can be manufactured in three distinct ways which includes a flat-based side gusseted bag, a flat-based tapering side gusseted bag, and a flat bottom side gusset bag with a zip closure. All three types can be used in different applications.

These stand up bags come with the option of sliders or zippers and are very cost effective in comparison to other packaging techniques currently available in the market. Apart from that, they are also eco friendly and do not fill up landfills like bottles or cartons.
