As consumers become more health-conscious, health food products have become increasingly popular.  Folks concerned about their well-being are more likely to exercise care in their lifestyle choices, including what they eat.  Not surprisingly, these same people also seem to care more about the environment which is, as it turns out, a factor that provides you with a potential marketing advantage in the hyper-competitive health food market. How?  By using health food packaging that is also environmentally friendly packaging and as good for the environment as your product is for your customers.   Eco-friendly packaging styles such as our stand up pouches, custom printed flat barrier bags, side gusset flexible box bags and the rest of our flexible barrier packaging line.  

Before we get into the more obvious environmentally friendly features of our packaging, let's look at one that is usually not thought of as being "green":  Strength.  Our health food packaging is constructed from multiple layers of scientifically-formulated film that has been laminated together. This process results in barrier packaging that is strong, durable, and puncture-resistant, able to withstand the rigors of shipping and handling and consumer use which ultimately results in fewer returns.  So how would this be considered environmentally friendly packaging?  Less waste.

There are several other reasons our health food packaging results in less waste, including:

• Despite consisting of multiple film layers, some of our flexible packaging styles  use up to 15 percent less material to make than other packaging bags.  This results in reduced consumption of raw materials and yields a package that weighs less, thereby requiring less fuel per unit to transport. 

• As we've already mentioned, our health food packaging possesses superior strength which reduces waste.  But that's not all.  Because our pouches and bags are so strong, they require no additional packaging material to ensure that your products are protected.  There's no need for an extra inner liner, no need for an outer box, bag, carton, or other container.  By using this packaging, you'll save money and benefit the environment because you'll eliminate the consumption of materials, energy, and the costs normally associated with the production, transportation, storage, and even disposal of supplemental health food packaging simply because there isn't any. 

• Minimal residual waste.  Because of the design and construction of our flexible barrier packaging, there is little to dispose of.   Given that less material is used to make our packaging, less material is left over once your customer has consumed your health food.  For example, a side gusset flexible box bag takes up very little space in a landfill, often no more than an empty shipping envelope.   

• Recyclable.  All of our health food packaging and simultaneously our environmentally friendly packaging is recyclable and, because it takes up so little space, recycling it isn't a big hassle for your customers. They won't have to find space for some bulky container in their garage or recycling bin, nor will rolling that bin out to the curb for pickup be made any more difficult because the packaging is so light.
