Stand Up Pouches for Product Packaging

The Right Packaging Pouches for Salty Snacks

Not everyone has a sweet tooth. Some of us are fans of salty delights. Chips, pretzels, crackers, and many other things are what attracts us. We’d rather have simple fries than an exquisite chocolate covered cake. This is why many companies sell salty snacks to cater to such demands.

If you are into manufacturing or trading of salty snacks, you need to keep their packaging in mind. While salty snacks were traditionally packed in simple plastic packs, things have changed now and many people prefer standup pouches these days. The reason behind using these packaging pouches is that unlike other plastic packets, they have a wide base and they can stand erect on the shelves. Standing erect has its own benefits- it displays the company brand name properly. It also protects the contents since the packets are not falling everywhere.

Salty snack packaging is generally filled with ‘air’. It is actually nitrogen and not actual air. This process of filling the stand up bag with nitrogen is called nitrogen flushing and it helps the snack stay crunchy for long. It also protects the snack from breaking or deteriorating.

Using zippers with larger snack bags is also a good idea since it helps in resealing the packet, keeping the contents away from dust and moisture.
