Things to Consider While Selecting the Packaging for Beef Jerky

Packaging for Beef JerkyIf you have ever tried beef jerky manufactured by Jack Links, you would know why they are the best beef jerky makers in the world. It isn't just the superior taste that made them popular; it’s also about their excellent packaging.

One thing about jerky is that it will get spoiled if it’s kept in the air for too long. This is why big jerky makers (including Jack Links) package their products in a beef jerky bag that doesn’t contain oxygen. Now, one way to do that is to suck out all the air but they don’t do that. Sucking out the air makes the bag look crumpled. Instead, they use oxygen absorbers. If you too want to get a similar kind of packaging, you will find plenty of oxygen absorbers in the market. Make sure you choose the right type of oxygen absorber. If you are not quite sure about the right type, we can help you out.

Jerky packaging should be strong and tough. A stand up pouch that comes with barrier films will do a good job. When several layers of barrier films are laminated together, the pouch becomes extra strong and puncture resistant.

When it comes to food packaging, pouches that allow customers to peep into the packaging generally perform better. That's why jerky makers prefer flexible pouches with little windows. If you want your bags to be hung on store hooks, we can also add hang holes to them.
