Stand up pouches are available in many sizes. Manufacturers can package an ounce of lentils or several pounds of flour, or anything in-between. Unlike several other packaging methods – such as tin cans and glass jars – where the range of the size of packaging is limited, stand up pouch bags can be made of virtually any size to fit the packaging needs of manufacturers.
There are many advantages of the diverse sizes of stand up bags– for manufacturers as well as consumers. An advantage of this flexibility is that product manufacturers can focus on their core product without worrying about packaging. This gives them freedom, and this ultimately positively impacts the quality of the product. This is nearly impossible with glass jars, tin cans, and a range of other inflexible packaging mediums where manufacturers have to constantly take into account the size of packaging.
For consumers, this diversity increases choice. Consumers can choose a product in just the amount they need. They do not need to worry about paying more for something they do not want. Or, they do not have to worry about dealing with multiple packaging options because the product is not available in the quantity they would like to have.
