Stand Up Pouches for Product Packaging

Will the Cereal Lose its Freshness When the Box is Opened?

Yes, cereal may lose some of its freshness when the box is opened. It may develop an unpleasant taste or odor when it is exposed to moisture. This is a big problem for cereal stored in packets that cannot be sealed after opening.

Cereal manufacturers are well aware of this problem and that is the reason why they have started adopting creative cereal packaging using standup pouches. These pouches have many additional features that keep cereal fresh for long after opening the package.

For example, features like zip locks let consumers reseal the packet after opening it. This also eliminates the need to store the cereal in another container. With tear notches, cereal pouches become very easy to open.

There is yet another reason why manufacturers prefer stand up bags over conventional cereal packaging. Standup pouches are cheaper than any other packaging solution available at the moment. They are also very versatile and can store a number of products apart from cereals.

About their cost – a typical standup pouch costs only around 15-20 cents. A carton box, on the other hand, may cost 35 cents or more. Resealable carton boxes are even more expensive.

Despite being cheaper than other packaging solutions, standup flexible pouches are much better at preserving the freshness of cereals. We have different types of standup cereal pouches. You can contact us for more details.
