Another option for packaging hand sanitizer is the use of a flat barrier bag or even a stand up pouch. Just like the option we discussed earlier (spouted stand up pouches) rarely have these pouches been made with film strong enough to handle the aggressiveness of the alcohol content in the hand sanitizer. It can and will work if the film has been designed for alcohol and hand sanitizer, but often stock bags and stock film have not been made with those materials. Possible but not probable.
To be clear, packaging hand sanitizer in flexible film and packaging is a great idea, the right film must be used or the alcohol will eat right through the film and sanitizer will leak and even completely degrade the pouch/film.

Stick packs, stand up pouches, flat barrier bags, single serve sachets, even spouted stand up pouches can be designed for hand sanitizer, it just takes time. In 6-8 weeks you can have pouches/film printed and ready to go...it just depends on your lead time.

Look, if you need alcohol compliant pumps or gallon containers or 50ml bottles or anything else pertaining to the hand sanitizer business, Place An Order! Companies are hoping that some friend of a friend is going to come through for them and they will learn the hard way. 2 weeks ago the lead time for alcohol compliant 38-400 pumps was 60+ days. Now, 2 weeks later it is past 90 days and climbing. If you plan to be in this business and forecast that you'll need supplies at some point...get your orders placed and place a deposit to get in the production line.
